A multidisciplinary, Romanian artist collective founded in 2011 by Erika Olea (*1982 Bucharest), Maria Farcas (*1977 Targu Mures, Romania), Dragos Olea (*1979, Bucharest) and Ioana Nemes (*1979 Bucharest – †2011 New York). The collective is active internationally. In addition to taking part in exhibitions and receiving awards and scholarships, Apparatus 22 is often invited to give performances at festivals. The three motives of Lost in Vienna I, II, and III, 2011, were produced in the framework of an atelier scholarship in the Quartier 21 facility in Vienna. Lost in Daebu (Winter III), 2011, was taken during a trip that the collective made to South Korea. Lost in Venice III, 2011, adds yet another motif to the Lost series. The MMM series deals with the sometimes unexplainable fascination of simple snap-shots. The mundane situation is getting transformed in the picture by miracle into something magical.
Positive Tension documents a rather joyful and colourful performance that took place in Vienna in 2012.
