The works of Cypriot artist Lito Kattou are strongly influenced by the digital world. At the interface of materiality and abstraction, Lito Kattou's approach to sculpture is characterized by the rejection of the traditional three-dimensionality of this medium in favour of an extreme reduction of volume.

Her works consist of laser-cut aluminum plates that are shaped like silhouettes. They are hybrid figures reminiscent of extraterrestrial beings. Nevertheless, they maintain contact with the earthly world through the integration of free-standing copper elements that include real flowers from the Mediterranean fauna.

In the 'Anniversaries' series, she introduces a new component: time - the dates refer to both personal anniversaries and natural disasters related to climate change.
