The Polish artist Małgorzata Mirga-Tas is a member of the Bergkita Rom*nja and focuses on scenes from the everyday life of the Rom*nja in her narrative textile collages. In addition, she portrays personalities from the community who make and have made an important and central contribution to European culture.

'Investing in adult education' is written on the sign. The bearer is the Swedish Romani activist and leader of the civil rights movement, Katarina Taikon (1932-1995). In 1965, she led the first Romani May Day demonstration in Stockholm.

Małgorzata Mirga-Tas was presented at the Polish pavilion at the Venice Art Biennale in 2022.
