The pickling of food is of central importance to the artist collective. They see the process of fermentation as an example of a different, non-binary way of thinking. One result 'preservation' is produced by the opposite process 'controlled rotting'.

The tapestry is a kind of manifesto for this process.

Furthermore, the work refers to the central role that the tongue and palate play in the collective's work. Many of the works deal with the different sound formations of the various languages.
