Petrit Halilaj is the winner of the art category of the second edition of the Mario Merz Prize, a biannual international award for art and music, inaugurated by the Fondazione Merz.

'Shkrepëtima' is a newly commissioned solo exhibtion by Petrit Halilaj in three parts. The exhibtion in Turin is the culmination project that took form in three different locations significant for the artist. The first interaction was a performance, 'Shrkepëtima', the largest public art project ever implented by Petrit Halilaj, that took place in July 2018 at the ruins of the Cultural Centre of Runik in Kosovo, and dealt with the history of the artist´s hometown. It was followed by an exhibition at Zentrum Paul Klee in Bern, Switzerland. The show at Fondazione Merz can be seen until 3 Febuary 2019.
