The Musée d'art contemporain - macLYON - presents the exhibition 'Stagecraft' by Jasmina Cibic. At the center of the exhibition is the film 'The Gift'. Seven politically significant, historical buildings set the stage. Among them are the headquarters of the French Communist Party in Paris, the Palais des Nations in Geneva, the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw, and the Buzludzha Monument in Bulgaria. The exhibition was curated by Matthieu Lelièvre and is part of the artist's longstanding reflection on the importance of culture, architecture, and art as a 'soft power' of political dramaturgy.
