Refik Anadol is a pioneer in the visual translation of machine intelligence into fascinating visual and data narratives. He was born in Istanbul in 1985, studied photography, video and art and later design and media arts in Los Angeles.
He runs Refik Anadol Studio and RAS LAB, which, using artistic intelligence and the computing power of super-computers, focus on transforming the flood of images from digital storage worlds into fluid and hypnotic digital pixel narratives.
At UCLA, he teaches in the Department of Design Media Arts.
