'Angels with Dirty Faces' is as series by Croatian artist Igor Grubić focussed on the miners in the coal mining area of the Kolubara reservoir in today’s Serbia. In 2000 these workers organized a counterstrike against Slobodan Milošević, the last Communist President of Serbia. He was charged in May 1999 by the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia in The Hague for crimes against humanity and violations of martial law and the Geneva Convention. Due to the civil unrest, he was forced to resign and was arrested after new elections and handed over to The Hague Tribunal.
