In her sculptures Zsofia Keresztes oscillates in the interstices between figurative and abstract, real and virtual, the past and the future. If we were in an animated computer world, we wouldn´t be surprise to witness the sculpture changing its form at any time. We can detect body parts in this fountain: fingers, nails, hair, organic forms but still cannot figure a human creature. She plays with the materials and colours. Often her sculptures are made out of glass mosaics, which remind the mosaics of architecture of the Soviet era but also the pixeled images of the virtual world.
