The Georgian artist Nino Kvrivishvili refers with this work, like 'Lady in Black' to the textile industry, which played an important role in Georgia, which was at that time part of the Union of the Soviet Repulics. During the Stalinist periode, Stalin was born in Georgia, the artist's grandmother was also resettled to the country to work in the textile industry. Nino Kvrivishvili often works with fragments and found objects, which carry private, historical and political memories and which indicate to such narratives in their combination of personal and communal experiences.
