Paulis Liepa is known as an excellent print maker. All his printed works are unique and favour the appearance of traces of the past. At a first glance, it seems that he works on old and used papers with traces of an aging process like wounds of time. But indeed that artist is carefully preparing the surfaces of his printing surfaces and is adding small elements and details, which are small visual cues that unfold into narrative stories in the pictorial space.
