'What the Sun Has Seen' was part of the installation at Hamburger Bahnhof, which won the artist the Preis der Nationalgalerie in 2017. Inspired by the poem with the same title by Polish poet Maria Konopnicka, telling of a carefree life in the country, Agnieszka Polska confronts us with her own version of the poem, which is dark and ironic. It is about the overstimulation with which we, as silent observers, who cannot intervene in the action, have to deal.
