Lenka Glisníková creates hybrid creatures between 3D objects and digital prints. The 'Friendly Strangers' series is created on the computer. Images of technical components and electronic waste merge into hybrid organisms that bear no resemblance to natural life forms and are more likely to come from other worlds. As extraterrestrial life forms with their shiny technical surfaces, they can appear threatening, like strange bacteria or spreading fungal cultures.
In 2023, the artist received the prestigious Jindřich Chalupecký Award. She studied photography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ostrava and at the Academy of Arts in Prague.
