The Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rijeka is showing an artistic research project conducted by Croatian artist Andrea Kulunčić together with anthropologist Renata Jambrešić Kirin and psychotherapist Dubravka Stijačić. 'You Betrayed the Party Just When You Should Have Helped It' - the exhibition and accompanying program refer to two labor camps on the Adriatic islands of Goli Otok and Sveti Grgur. The camps were established in 1949 after the break between Stalin and Tito and served to 're-educate' party members who did not want to follow the new course of the Yugoslav Communist Party. They were in operation until 1956. The fate of the 850 women forcibly interned there is the focus of the exhibition curated by Irena Bekić and Anca Verona Mihuleț.

Andrea Kulunčić is represented in the Art Collection Telekom as the initiator of the EQUALS Collective with a public campaign, which has so far been shown, each in the national languages, at the MSU in Skopje, the Museum Ludwig in Budapest and the National Gallery - The Palace in Sofia.
