In 2020, the Art Collection Telekom initiated an annual ArtScience Residency in collaboration with Ars Electronica in Linz. After Kyriaki Goni in 2021, Irakli Sabekia, born in 1985 in Sokhumi, Abkhazia, is the second Artist in Residence for this year. The residency aims to promote the exchange between artistic creativity and themes of art with those of actual scientific research.
In the conversation moderated by Laura Welzenbach (Head of Ars Electronica Export) and introduced by Antje Hundhausen (Vice President Brand Experience, Deutsche Telekom), Director Prof. Dr. Aimee van Wynsberghe will introduce the Sustainable AI Lab of the University Bonn. Artist Irakli Sabekia will introduce his projects and both will report on the collaboration so far and in the coming weeks. The artistic result of this exchange will be presented during Ars Electronica Festival from 07 to 11 September 2022 in Linz.
