With the start of this year's Ars Electronica Festival in Linz, we are pleased to announce the three-year cooperation between Ars Electronica Export and Deutsche Telekom and to present the ‘ArtScience Residency‘.

According to the focus of the Art Collection Telekom, the new ArtScience Residency is aimed at artists from Eastern Europe who work at the interface between art, technology and science and who are particularly interested in the social effects of technological developments.

The new Artist in Residence program is intended to promote interdisciplinary exchange and create a space for encounters in which artistic practice and scientific research can be combined in the best possible way.

Particular attention is paid to the topics of sustainability, social responsibility, digital democracy, transformation of society, artificial intelligence vs. Artistic Intelligence and Artistic Research.

The ArtScience Residency takes place in two parts: a research stay in a scientific partner institution with a following production stay at Ars Electronica in Linz. The resulting artwork will be presented at the Ars Electronica Festival 2021.

Applications can be submitted online until November 29,2020
