In the exhibition 'Fully Automated Orientalism' at Villa Stuck, Anne Ehrenstein combines different geographical situations with medially and culturally coded imagery to tell a story that conveys how identities are negotiated in the post-colonial world. Everyday objects such as car parts and fitness items are combined with textiles, painting and photographs to create a dynamic narrative that celebrates both the vulnerability and the strength of those attempting to live beyond the confines and limitations of contemporary 'carbon capitalism'.
The work 'Odalisque Baddie I' from the Art Collection Telekom is integrated into the installation.
