The exhibition 'Chronopolitical Explorations' at the Neue Galerie in Innsbruck, curated by Bettina Siegele, presents selected works by Lana Čmajčanin. 'Balkan Cruelty', 'Don't Dream Dreams', 'Once We Were Brothers', and 'Anatomy of Speech' engage with the politics of remembrance and forgetting, as well as with the entanglements of economic, geographic, historical, and imperial factors and their visibility.
Drawing on historical events and their correlation with the present, as well as the current geopolitical landscapes of Europe, the artist opens up a chronopolitical space that enables diverse perspectives on historical occurrences and on the construction of history itself.
The artist is represented in the Art Collection Telekom with the work 'Don't Dream Dreams'.
