For the first time, Kunstmuseum Bonn and Telekom are co-organising the Human AI Art Award! An international, high-calibre jury has selected Chinese-American artist Lauren Lee McCarthy as the first winner. In a specially designed art space in front of the museum, the artist will present 'LAUREN: Anyone home?'. The installation will be activated with performances on several dates during the exhibition. Performers will take on the role of a human 'smart home intelligence' that interacts with the visitors.
The prize, which will be awarded annually from now on, honours artists who work in the field of tension between fine art and state-of-the-art technoloty, in particular artificial intelligence, and who are pioneers in this field. It includes prize money of 10,000 euros and a two-month exhibition at Kunstmuseum Bonn.
The exhibition opens on November 17th at 11 a.m. with a performance by the artist.
