The series 6 ½ weeks at Folkwang Museum in Essen presents the first institutional solo-exhibition by Bulgarian artist Martina Vacheva (*1988 in Plovdiv). It is titled ‘КОРЕНИ‘, which translates into ‘roots’ and alludes to the references to Bulgarian traditions, folk art, fairy tales the artist uses in her own works combining them with the present. The series 'Postthracians' from the Art Collection Telekom is on loan and can be seen in the exhibition display 'Helmet' by Los Carpinteros. Until 25.08.
