Fenix, the new museum for art and migration history, has opened in Rotterdam. The opening exhibition of the museum, which has been building up its own collection for five years, shows works by over 150 artists. Among the approximately 400 works in the young collection is the iconic installation 'EU - Others', which Šejla Kamerić realized for Manifesta 3 in Ljubljana in 2000.
MAD, the office of Chinese architect Ma Yansong, designed the building and the spectacular 'Tornado' spiral staircase and viewing platform.
