The Frac Lorraine presents the first retrospective of Turkish artist Nil Yalter in a french institution. The exhibition introduces around 15 works by the artist - some of them never shown to a french public.

Nil Yalter, born in Cairo 1965, grew up in Turkey and lives in Paris since 1965. From the 70ies on the feminist artist raises issues of identity and social topics. She dedicates herself to anthropological and ethnographic studies that are strongly linked to her home country. This exhibition introduces artworks that deal with nomadism, exile and the sealed female universe.
