The monument was 1933 destroyed by the Nazis. In the exhibition at daad galerie Sanja Ivecović addresses questions about suppressed memories and contradictions about the history and analysis of leftist revolutions. The role and function of public monuments, as sites for collective memory and writing of history is scrutinised.
