In her installation titled LUX at the Art Box in the Museumsquartier in Vienna, Sasha Auerbakh presents five sculptural elements referencing traditional spiritual objects like amulets, altars, and sacred ornaments from diverse cultures. The naked male body, portrayed in various ages and predominantly depicted in passive or submissive poses, is at the centre of the sculptures. Through her installation, the artist challenges conventional perceptions of gender roles.
