Together with works by Marcel Broodhearst (1924–1976) and a sound installation by Cevdet Erek, the Kunsthalle Baden Baden is showing works by Slavs and Tatars. 'Simurgh' refers to a mythical creature from Persian mythology, also known as Senmurv, a creature between an eagle or falcon with large wings and magical powers. In an old text, the creature sits on the tree of all seeds and spreads them all over the world by flapping its wings.
