The first edition of the new light festival 'PORTAL' will take place from March 13 to 15 in Gabrovo, Bulgaria. It will feature 3D mapping on some of the city’s most iconic buildings, interactive installations, indoor and outdoor light artworks, as well as an international 3D mapping competition.
The festival presents contemporary forms of light and digital art, placing the audience at the center of the experience — not only as spectators, but also as active participants.
From Friday to Sunday, the festival will span nine locations, showcasing 16 installations by more than 20 artists from several countries. Among them is Albena Baeva, who is represented in the Art Collection Telekom with several works exploring artificial intelligence.
