Ksenia Hnylytska is an interdisciplinary artist working across various media, including painting, drawing, ceramics, and video. She graduated in 2009 from the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture in Kyiv. In addition to her individual artistic practice, she has a strong background in collaborative projects and played a key role as a co-founder and member of the artist collectives "R.E.P" and "Hudrada" ("Creative Committee"). Her works have been exhibited in numerous venues, including the National Art Museum of Ukraine and the Visual Culture Research Center in Kyiv. In 2020, she was shortlisted for the PinchukArtCentre Prize.
Ksenia Hnylytska’s artistic practice engages deeply with social and political issues. Her works critically explore societal structures, historical narratives, and power dynamics from a multifaceted perspective. By combining different media, she creates complex visual expressions that capture both personal and collective experiences. Since the large-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, she has been living and working in Munich.
