The artist studied at the Lviv Academy of Arts from 1999 to 2005 and is a co-founder of several artist collectives, including R.E.P. (Revolutionary Experimental Space) and CCCK (Center for Communication and Context).
In his work, he engages with the political and social upheavals of his homeland, often exploring themes of power, history, memory, and resistance. His pieces serve as political statements that critically highlight injustices while simultaneously celebrating the power of collectives, the formation of communities, and self-empowerment.
In 2013, a public debate on artistic freedom and censorship in Ukraine was sparked, when the administration of the Mystetskyi Arsenal in Kyiv ordered the overpainting of his work 'Koliivschtschyna: Last Judgment' which criticized political corruption and injustice.
