Agnieszka Polska is part of the exhibition ‚Suspended Animation' at Smithsonian Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington. The exhibition brings together six artists who use digital images as a tool to question conceptions of reality. Their works explore the actualities of the information age, such as the impact of virtual worlds on tangible physical experience or the digitization of identity. Reality is no longer the benchmark for the imperfect image, but rather the animated image provides the measure for an imperfect reality: such works ultimately ask whether the virtual body marks the end of the real body.

Participating artists: Ed Atkins, Antoine Catala, Ian Cheng, Josh Kline, Helen Marten, Agnieszka Polska.
