Nevin Aladağ studied until 2000 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich with Olaf Metzel. She has Turkish roots and is living in Germany since 1973. In 2017 she showed 'Music Room' at documenta 14 in Athens, an installation with sound sculptures that had been combined from parts of musical instruments, household items and furniture. In 2014 the artist installed an oversized sheet of music, 'Marsch (Basel)', on the back wall of the Kunsthalle Basel. The initial notes of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's 'Rondo alla Turca' from 1783/84 were noted with cast historical cannonballs. The work 'Tusch-Carnival' from the Art Collection Telekom was created as a sequel to this installation.
