As one of the leading institutions for contemporary art in the region, the MSU in Zagreb presents with 'I Am The Mouth' an overview of the Art Collection Telekom. Works by nearly 50 artists demonstrate the diversity and the wide spectrum of the artistic intentions, hopes and aesthetical concepts, which characterize the cultural region of Eastern Europe. The shared history of having been part of the Communist world, was fanning out into different ways, models and approaches to create democratic structures und to maintain them. The artists do represent in this transformation process the voice of an open and curious generation. Contrary to the noisy and often dull populistic tendencies in politics and everyday life, the art works vote for a thoughtful and cautious approach to our complex and often contradictory reality. They transmit exactly the sensibility, carefulness and awareness, which an open and democratic society requires as emotional and intellectual foundation to be ready and prepared for shaping the future.
